Becky Dillard, Office Manager
Becky joined Native Land Design in 2005, and has been an office manager in the landscape industry for 20 years. She manages accounts payable and receivables, works directly with the executive management team, and is a central contact for customer questions.
Becky lives in Pflugerville, is married and has 2 boys who are 22 and 14 years old. In her spare time, she loves listening to her son's band The Standouts, being outdoors and tap dancing.
Jennifer Smith, Administrative Assistant/Human Resources
For the past 10 years, Jennifer has experienced a wide range of responsibilities in landscape administration. In her administrative role at Native Land Design, Jennifer issues certificates of insurance, assists the company fleet, provides accounting reports to management and staff, and is a contact for customer support. Jennifer also serves as the human resources manager for the company.
Keith Cavet, Director of Construction
Keith brings 31 years of professional experience to Native Land Design. He
moved to Austin in the mid 80's to be involved in the exciting, steady urban
growth of central Texas. After falling in love with the region's natural
environment Keith decided to make Austin his home for life.
Keith worked for two of the leading Texas landscape architecture and planning firms RVI Planning and TBG Partners for much of his career as a senior designer, project manager and construction administrator. His expansive knowledge of construction materials and methods and love for plants make him well suited to the landscape design-build industry. For several years Keith maintained a small design studio specializing in design development of planned residential communities; specifically the design of common use areas such as streetscapes, parklands, pedestrian rights-of-way and trail systems, storm water collection and community amenity centers.
Keith received his Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University and worked in Baton Rouge for 7 years thereafter.
In his spare time Keith likes to cook and entertain friends and is an avid gardener and inshore saltwater fisherman both of which provide ingredients for a number of his Cajun specialties.
Margarita Padilla-Posey, Project Manager
Margarita brings 6 years' experience of professional landscape design to Native Land Design. She is originally from Guatemala. She got her Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University in 2005 and moved to the Austin area with her husband.
Margarita's experience began with Coleman and Associates working on the design development and construction documentation of high end commercial projects; specifically the design of common areas such as streetscapes, plazas, pedestrian walkways, entry signs and amenity areas. She then went to work for BWM Group, where her experience was expanded, working on the planning, design and construction documentation of public projects; such as trail systems, playgrounds, sports fields, parking layout and design, dog park design, familiarity with city and county laws, water rights, TDLR regulations and flood plain analyses. She has also worked on high end residential design, vegetable garden designs, irrigation design and marketing. Her knowledge of several graphic programs has given her an edge to design and produce marketing materials such as SOQs, RFQs, materials used for award competitions, booklets, presentation boards, illustrative plans, photo simulations and newsletters.
Margarita is currently working on her Landscape Architecture license. She currently lives in Round Rock with her husband and 2 year old daughter.
Greg Yount, Director of Operations
Greg brings over 7 years of commercial landscaping experience to the Native Land Design team. He joined Native Land Design in May 2009, and manages many high profile accounts including The Hollows in Lake Travis, and various Simon Properties such as The Domain and Wolf Ranch. Prior to working for Native Land Design, Greg worked for TruGreen Landcare, where he provided excellent customer service to accounts such as the Barton Creek Home Owners Association and Terravista.
Greg earned his Bachelors Degree in Agribusiness from Texas A&M University, and also holds an Associates Degree in Computer Programming from Austin Community College. He is a licensed commercial pesticide applicator.
Greg grew up in Austin, and he currently lives in Avery Ranch with his wife and two sons.
Daniel Ramirez, Account Manager
Daniel brings 6 years of landscape maintenance and irrigation experience to Native Land Design. Daniel is from Brownsville and moved to the Austin area in 2004. Daniel has great customer service and brings experience in plant layout for landscape architectural enhancements, quality control, native plant knowledge for the region, safety policy training and retention pond maintenance. He is currently working on his irrigation and pesticide licenses
In his spare time, Daniel likes to spend time with family and friends.
Jorge Castro, Account Manager Austin Area
Jorge started working at Native Land Design as a Crew Leader. He has 10 years of landscape maintenance experience. Jorge is a proven leader, delegator and has extensive experience in running large projects and several landscape crews at once.
Jorge is originally from El Salvador. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family.
Steve Daehnert, Regional Service Manager
Steve brings 25 years experience in maintaining and performing major and minor repairs to construction and landscape equipment. He is a US registered aircraft mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant rating through the Federal Aviation Administration. Steve attended various technical schools for Stihl, Echo, Scags, Briggs, Stratton, Techumseh, Kawasaki, Honda and Multiquip. He attended North Valley Occupational Center in Los Angeles. His background includes working for Clean Cut and Trugreen Land Care as a lead shop mechanic and trainer for college interns on preventive maintenance, shop safety, basic electrical theory, two and four cycle engine theory of operations and hydraulic theory as well as served as a technical consultant for various rental and construction companies in California.
In his spare time, Steve is an avid coastal and fresh water fisherman, drums boating and kayaking. He and his wife currently live in the Austin area with his dog Waffles.
Joseph Coelho, Marketing Representative
Joseph brings 27 years of account management, event and marketing experience. He is Sales Training Certified and has a professional certification with 8 automotive manufacturers. His career started off in the automotive industry but soon enough, his green thumb lead him to the landscape management industry. Joseph is also a professional photographer.
He is originally from Danbury, Connecticut and moved to San Antonio in 1998. He and his wife Viola have been married for 8 years and enjoy the pleasures of drinking wine, and ballroom dancing. He enjoys participating in almost every sport, billiards being his favorite past time, as well as cooking and social events. They have three children; Michael, Jonathan and Priscilla, as well as two wonderful grand children and family members in Connecticut as well as Germantown, Maryland.
