BW_Ben_Collinsworth

Ben Collinsworth, CEO

Before Ben founded Native Land Design in 2001, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University. He’s an active member of ASLA, HBA of Austin, NHBA, PLANET, and BOMA. Ben, his wife and their three children reside in the Cedar Park area. 

Stan Johnson, President

With more than 30 years of landscape experience, Stan’s portfolio includes Las Colinas’ Williams Square, Flower Clock and Canal Walk. He has also received accolades for his work on The Arboretum, the Motorola campus and Michael Dell’s house in Austin. He and his wife currently live in Weimar.

Greg Yount, CTO

Greg joined Native Land Design in 2009 with over 13 years of commercial landscaping experience. High profile accounts he managed include The Hollows in Lake Travis and Simon Properties The Domain and Wolf Ranch. He lives in Austin with his wife and three children.

Michael Spell, Controller

Michael came to Native Land Design in 2008. He is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for the company. Michael's previous experience includes accounting responsibilities for General Bandwidth and Dell. This CPA holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Michael and his wife have two children.

Chris Rhodes, Director of Marketing and Business Development

Chris joined the Native Land Design team in 2017, bringing 17 years of experience in the industry. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Horticulture from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. With experience in landscape operations and business development, it allows him to help grow the business while understanding both the needs of the landscape and the customer. Chris lives in Georgetown with his little girl.

Austin

Becky Dillard, Office Manager

Becky has been an office manager in the landscape industry for over 20 years. She joined Native Land Design in 2005 and handles accounts payable and receivables. She is also the central contact for customer and vendor questions. Becky and her husband live in Austin and have two sons and two grandsons.

Jennifer Smith, Administrative Assistant/Human Resources

In Jennifer’s administrative role at Native Land Design, she issues certificates of insurance, assists the company fleet and provides accounting reports to management and staff. She also serves as the company’s human resources manager.

Robbie Huang, Director of Operations

Robbie has over 16 years of landscape experience including all aspects of landscape design, construction, maintenance and irrigation. Prior to joining the Native Land Design team, Robbie worked for ValleyCrest Companies where he managed several high profile homeowner’s associations, corporate campuses, private schools and private estates. Robbie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers University and spent six months at ITR in Rapperswil, Switzerland as part of an exchange program between Rutgers and ITR. He currently lives in Pflugerville with his wife and two children.

Matt Davis, Estimating/Design

Matt joined Native Land Design in 2014, bringing 4 years of commercial landscape experience. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Matt’s experiences include working on large and small scale design projects, master plans, and construction documents for both the private and public sector projects.

Chase McAnally, Account Manager

Chase earned his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in 2012. Prior to joining Native Land Design, he spent four years in the field working as a crew leader and irrigator. He currently resides in Austin.

Wade Casey, Account Manager

Wade comes to Native from Dallas with over 10 years of experience in the green industry. Prior to joining Native he worked for a large wholesale nursery in the position of Inside Sales & Delivery Coordinator. He has been in the landscape maintenance field for the past 6 years, 4 as an Account Manager and 2 in Operations. He currently lives in Leander with his wife and two daughters.

Josiah Ball, Irrigation Manager

Josiah has a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Illinois State University and 8 years experience as an Environmental Geologist working around the country. During college he worked in landscaping and irrigation, and for the last 5 years he's returned his focus to this field of work. Josiah is married with no kids and a dog.

Steve Daehnert, Regional Service Manager

Steve brings over 30 years of experience in all aspects of fleet and equipment maintenance. His background includes working as lead technician for TruGreen LandCare and various rental and construction companies in California. In addition, he has served as a fleet consultant and has trained and mentored technicians throughout his career. At Native Land Design, Steve’s experience provides support to the companies equipment and vehicle fleet.
He has a technical education through the Department of Transportation. He and his wife Jennifer reside in Austin with their dog Waffles.

Houston

Jose Ventura, Director of Operations

With more than 20 years of commercial landscaping experience, Jose manager multiple crews in his current role at Native Land Design. He started his career a crew leader in 1990, then moved up to roles such as Area Manager and Production Manager for TruGreen Landcare. Jose currently lives in the Houston area with his wife and children.

Sandra Leija, Client Relations Manager

Sandra began working in the landscaping industry in 2001, and gained significant experience working for TruGreen LandCare. Sandra’s role at Native Land Design balances responsibilities in operations, sales and management. She has been instrumental in establishing our branch in Mission, while providing management oversight in the valley.

Jose Udave, Account Manager

Jose Udave comes to Native with 10 years of experience in the landscape industry. He started in 2005 as a laborer then moved up to roles such as Crew Leader, Area Manager and Operations Manager. He currently lives in Humble, TX with his wife and two kids.

Chase Brister, Account Manager

Chase graduated from Texas A&M in 2015, where he got a BS in Turf Management as well as a minor in Business. His experience includes working at the La Cantera golf courses in San Antonio, working for the Round Rock Express, and working on Kyle Field and Olsen Field at Texas A&M. He worked for Native as an intern, which led to a full time position after graduation.

Todd Wilson, Irrigation Manager

Todd brings 30 years of irrigation experience to NLD.  He started in 1985 as a foreman with Sugar Creek Homes. In 2010 Todd joined Native Land Design. He is a licensed irrigator and backflow prevention assembly tester. Todd lives in the Alief area of Houston with his wife, son and grandson.

Mariela Aguilar, Landscape Designer

Mariela earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture with an emphasis in Landscape Design from Texas A&M University in 2016, where she studied commercial and residential design. Mariela has designed projects for TNLA organization's "Parks and Patio", Texas A&M University College of Ag Sciences, and various residential properties in the Bryan/College Station area.

McAllen

 

Nallely Jones, Account Manager

Nallely was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She has experience in customer relations, assisting executives, and marketing. In her hobbies, she enjoys reading and writing. Nallely lives in Mission with her daughter.
